Project Description

The Lollard Street project comprised the construction of two tower blocks, four apartment buildings, fifteen houses, and a nursery, forming a key part of a wider regeneration scheme for the local community in central London. The development delivers a mix of social housing, shared ownership, and private residential homes, with specifications varying from standard to high-end finishes across the different property types.

Swift Crafted was responsible for delivering a diverse range of carpentry and joinery works across the residential buildings and community facilities. One of the most technically demanding elements of the project was the design and installation of a movable wall system within the nursery, which required careful integration of acoustic performance, structural bracing, and M&E coordination.

Achieving this required extensive collaboration between Swift Crafted, the M&E Sub-Contractor, Structural Engineers, and the Architect, leading to a detailed and iterative design development process. The result was a robust, buildable solution that maintained both the functional and aesthetic intent of the space while meeting the project’s acoustic and structural requirements.

This project exemplifies Swift Crafted’s ability to coordinate complex design interfaces, deliver high-quality finishes across varied property types, and contribute meaningfully to community-focused residential developments.
